Candidate Statement

Serving on CFA’s Finance committee for the last ten years has given me insights and stirred a passion to steer CFA toward greater fiscal stability and growth. I offer leadership experience and ask your support to allow me to share my extensive background in accounting and almost 40 years involvement with the cat fancy. (I started very young.)

A Strong Professional Background in Accounting

  •  More than 30 years as a financial executive, including chief financial officer and vice-president for business and finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois
  • Experience-backed judgment working with both for-profit and non-profit organizations
  • Ability to overcome complex business challenges in companies with revenues ranging from $40 - $150 million
A Long History with CFA

  •  Registered Lawndale cattery in 1971
  • Concentrated on breeding and showing of Abyssinians and Oriental Shorthairs
  • Member of Abyssinian, Oriental Shorthair and Persian Bi-Color Breed Councils
  • Granded CFA’s first blue Abyssinian
  • Actively breed and show Oriental Shorthairs
  • CFA judge for more than 20 years
  • Served on CFA’s judging committee, including as its Chair
 A combination of my Professional Life with my Passion for the Cat Fancy

  •  Have served on the CFA finance committee for ten years
  • Currently serve as CFA’s accountant
  • Have served as treasurer for several cat clubs and the Judging Association
I live outside Buffalo, New York with my wife Barb. Together we share the joy of two grown children and a precious granddaughter. Our 40 acres are home to cats, dogs, Saddlebred horses and alpacas.
